PLMJ Strengthens Finance Team

Mariana Villas Boas is the new lawyer in PLMJ’s finance team headed by partner Jorge Brito Pereira.
PLMJ’s new lawyer is a finance specialist and has just finished her LLM in financial law from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She also has a port-graduate qualification in Business and corporate law from Lisbon’s Universidade Nova.
Mariana worked in the legal department of Banco Finantia and in the banking and financial area of the Iberian law firm Garrigues. She has extensive experience in transactions in the areas of finance and banking, corporate finance, securities, project finance and corporate governance.
The arrival of Mariana completes the restructuring of PLMJ’s financial area following the integration of senior associate Inês Pinto da Costa at the end of last year.
PLMJ’s finance and capital markets team coordinated by partner Jorge de Brito Pereira, also includes partner Sónia Teixeira da Mota, from a total of 9 specialist dedicated lawyers working exclusively on finance and banking and capital markets.
