Kocián Šolc Balaštík is Law Firm of the Year 2010 in the Czech Republic in the Category of Company and Competition Law

Law firm Kocián Šolc Balaštík (“KSB”) has been named leading law firm in the Czech Republic in the category of Company and Competition law in the Law Firm of the Year 2010 competition organized by Epravo.cz.
KSB was also named as one of the leading five law firms in the Czech Republic in the categories of Mergers and Acquisitions, Restructuring and Insolvency, Dispute Resolution and Arbitration, Sport Law and Criminal Law. In the category of Mergers and Acquisition KSB was the only Czech law firm to be named among the leading five law firms.
The Law Firm of the Year 2010 competition was organized by the publishing house Epravo.cz under the auspices of the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic and under the professional supervision of the Czech Bar Association. This year is the third year in which the competition has taken place. KSB was awarded the title of Law Firm of the Year 2009 in the category of Company and Competition Law and Law Firm of the Year 2008 in the category of Corporate Law.
The gala announcement of this year’s competition results took place on 15 November 2010 at InterContinental Praha Hotel and was attended by the Minister of Justice of the Czech Republic, the Chairman of the Czech Bar Association, many well known legal practitioners and representatives of major law firms active in the Czech Republic.
The prize in the form of a trophy depicting Saint Ivo, the patron of attorneys, was received by Jan Dìdiè, Martin Kubík and Pavel Nosek on behalf of KSB. They expressed their thanks for the repeated awards given to KSB to all those who, besides Epravo.cz itself, recognize KSB’s qualities, including independent experts and attorneys from other major law firms active on the Czech market.
