ALRUD accompanied Russian Internet giant Mail.Ru Group in its IPO on the London Stock Exchange

In November 2010 ALRUD in conjunction with the leading international law firm successfully completed the deal on initial public offering of shares of Mail.ru Group Limited in the form of GDRs and placing of GDR at the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

ALRUD acted as Russian legal advisor to the underwriters of Mail.Ru Group’s offering (Goldman Sachs International, JP Morgan Securities Ltd., Morgan Stanley &Co International Plc, VTB Capital plc, Pacific Crest Securities LLC). Completion of the deal on the IPO of shares of the largest Internet company in the Russian-speaking world required comprehensive analysis of the IP assets and IT-related issues.
Offering of 32,93 mln. ordinary shares in the form of GDRs raised more than USD 1 bln. This offering is the largest Internet IPO in Europe, and would become the biggest Russian IPO launched at the LSE since the 3-year ago VTB Group’s.
