John Grady joins Regulation & Markets team from Faculty of Advocates

March, 2012 - Edinburgh, Scotland

Shepherd and Wedderburn has enhanced its Regulation and Markets team with the appointment of John Grady.

It marks a return to the firm for Grady who initially joined Shepherd and Wedderburn as an Assistant in 1998 before departing in 2004 for in-house role as a commercial and regulatory solicitor with Scottish Power. He then joined the Faculty of Advocates, in 2007, where he completed his pupillage the following year.

In his new role at Shepherd and Wedderburn John will work between the firm’s Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, driving forward its Regulation and Markets practice across the UK and internationally.

James Saunders, a Partner in Shepherd and Wedderburn’s Regulations and Market team said: “It’s great to welcome John back to the firm which he knows so well. He has built up a huge wealth of experience, especially within the energy market, from his in-house role at ScottishPower and as a member of the Faculty of Advocates over the last eight years which will be invaluable to our team.”
