Minter Ellison announces senior appointments

The Minter Ellison Legal Group has announced the appointment of five partners, sixteen special counsel and twenty-eight senior associates effective 1 July 2012.

The promotions bring to thirteen the total number of new partners appointed since the beginning of this year.

Chief Executive Partner, John Weber, highlighted the depth of talent across the firm's offices in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the UK.

"This has been another strong year for us, especially across the Asian practices and on inbound investment work. These senior appointments reflect the success of our Asian regional strategy and underpin our commitment to offer clients across all offices the capabilities that are the hallmarks of a top tier international law firm," he said.

The new 1 July partners are:

Malcolm Chin (Construction Engineering & Infrastructure, Hong Kong)
Leigh De Jong (Finance, Sydney)
Bastian Gasser (Tax, Melbourne)
Steve Latham (Corporate, Gold Coast)
Jonathon Williams (Finance, Brisbane).

Amongst the lateral partner appointments made by Minter Ellison earlier this year are Adam Handley and Richard Guit in Perth, Nicola Marley in London and Sophie Chen and Anthony Borgese in Sydney.
