Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners strengthens Banking practice with three new partner hires

Rome, May 10, 2012 – The international law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners is delighted to announce that the Partners Meeting held on May 10th unanimously approved the hiring of Luigi Chessa as new Partner of the Banking & Finance and Financial Services Departments. In addition to Luigi, also Partners Giuseppe Schiavello and Stefano Agnoli will join the teams. The new Partners, who all come from CDP, will commence on May 14th.
Luigi Chessa is renowned on the market for his expertise in banking and finance law. In the past years he has advised on the most important deals regarding securitization, structured finance, banking, real estate finance, derivatives, capital markets, privatizations. He is currently President of the Demanio Agency's surveillance system and is an independent member of Augustea Holding's Board of Directors.
Giuseppe Schiavello specialises in financing and structured finance deals relating to acquisitions (in particular in LBO's), project finance, asset finance and real estate finance. He is an expert in CMBS operations, in the securitization of commercial and WBS credits as well as in the acquisition of performing and non performing credit. He advises on bank activity and investment services regulations as well as in local and international arbitrations.
Stefano Agnoli has matured a significant experience, also at an international level, in structured finance and public sector finance. Stefano also advised on export credit and project finance, on bond issues (by banks, commercial companies, Municipalities, Regions and the Republic of Italy), and on derivatives.
These three appointments reinforce the Firm's Banking & Finance and Capital Markets’ teams which now count 10 Partners and 25 Associates. Other younger lawyers will join the Partners in the near future.
