Carey acted as local counsel to BBVA Group in connection with the USD 1,521 billion sale of its controlling stake in AFP Provida, the largest private pension-fund administrator in Chile, to MetLife. The deal included BBVA’s pension businesses in Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Peru and Ecuador.
Carey advised BBVA Group through a team led by partner Diego Peralta and associates Fernando Noriega, Bárbara Vera, Eduardo Elgueta, Sebastián Monge, Valentina Kuscevic, Agustín Fracchia, Felipe Zaldívar and Loreto Ribera.
