LAWIN brings home prestigious The Lawyer’s Baltic Law Firm of the Year Award for the third time

The Lawyer, one of the most preeminent European legal magazines, crowned LAWIN the Baltic Law Firm of the Year 2012 for the second year in a row and the third time in total. LAWIN won the very first award in “The Baltic States” category when it was introduced in 2011.

This year's award was presented at The Lawyer European Awards ceremony in Monte Carlo on Thursday, October 25, 2012.

Peeter Lepik, Chairman of the LAWIN Management Board comments: “The Lawyer magazine higlights that 'it's quality not quantity, that wins the top prizes' in the European awards. The Lawyer UK legal awards have been the industry benchmark of quality for more than a decade and in 2009, the weekly magazine decided to give European awards for the best law firms in continental Europe for the first time. LAWIN was the first The Lawyer European award winner for "Scandinavia & The Baltic States" in 2009, and the only law firm from the Baltic States that has ever been shortlisted for that category.

A judging panel made up of in-house counsels of multinational companies and heads of private practices reviews submissions from the leading law firms in more than 47 countries. The entries are judged based on the following criteria: strategic vision, strong partnership ethos, strong financial performance and growth, consistent excellence in the chosen sectors and excellent talent management.
