Walder Wyss Advises on EUR 75 Million Purchase Agreement as Baloise Group Sells Subsidiaries in Croatia and Serbia

The Baloise Group is selling its businesses in Croatia and Serbia to the Austrian UNIQA Group. Representatives of the two companies have signed a purchase agreement for EUR 75 million.
The UNIQA Group is one of the leading insurance groups in its core markets in Austria and Eastern Europe. UNIQA is the strongest insurance brand in Austria and is very well positioned in the Central and Eastern European (CEE) markets.
Walder Wyss has advised UNIQA in the transaction. The team was led by Markus Vischer (partner, Corporate/M&A) and further included Lucas Hänni (managing associate, Corporate/M&A) and Samuel Lieberherr (associate, Corporate).
