World Services Group Announces Partnership with the Center for American and International Law

December, 2013 - Houston, Texas

World Services Group (WSG) is proud to announce a new partnership with The Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law (SWIICL), part of The Center for American and International Law (CAIL), to promote international legal education to overseas lawyers.

"We are excited to launch this partnership with WSG in 2014,” said Michael J. Marchand, CAIL president. “We anticipate that this alliance will enhance our ability to prepare lawyers for the challenges facing them in international business.”

As a first step, lawyers affiliated with WSG members will have the opportunity to attend SWIICL’s 51st annual Academy of American and International Law at a discounted rate.

In its 50 year history, the six-week Academy has hosted more than 3,000 legal professionals from 120 countries. Past participants have advanced to positions such as national president, national prime minister, and president of the General Assembly of the United Nations. As part of the initial partnership, CAIL’s Plano facility will be made available to WSG to conduct additional programming.

"The partnership with SWIICL will give our member firms access to a world-class educational opportunity aligned with today’s global marketplace,” said Sergio Michelsen, WSG Chair. “We are pleased to build a long-term strategic relationship with CAIL.”
