Carey advised OPIC and IFC in a project financing to a First Solar photovoltaic power plant

Carey acted as local counsel to Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the financing of the design, development, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance of a 141MW photovoltaic power plant, located in the III region of Chile, owned by First Solar (Luz del Norte Project), for app. USD289 million.
Carey advised OPIC and IFC through a team led by partner Felipe Moro and associates Juan Pablo Stitchkin, Paulina Sandoval, Manuel José Prieto, Consuelo Mengual, Matías Vergara, José Miguel Bellagamba, Loreto Ribera, María José Martínez, Montserrat Godoy and Pablo Morales.
