Krogerus advises Varma and Sponda on their divestment in Certeum

Krogerus advised Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company and Sponda Oyj on their sale of 57% of the shares in Certeum Oy to Tungsten Investment S.à.r.l, a company affiliated to funds managed by the Blackstone Group.

Certeum is the largest property investment company in Finland that specialises in owning, leasing and developing logistics and industrial properties. The market value of Certeum’s properties was roughly EUR 900 million, as of 30 June 2015.

The Blackstone Group is one of the largest alternative asset management firms globally. Its shares are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The transaction is one of the largest property transactions in Finland and the second largest logistics transaction in the Nordics during 2015.
