Carey Stands Out in New Edition of Chambers Latin America

In August 2018, Chambers and Partners, the prestigious English publication, released the 2019 edition of their rankings of the Latin American legal market. In this new guide, Carey stands out for receiving the most band 1 rankings in Chile, as well as being the only firm in Chile ranked in all the practice areas that they cover. With 38 lawyers recognized in their respective areas of practice, Carey received the highest number of individual recognitions in Chile.

The areas in which Carey was ranked band 1 are: Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Antitrust, Energy, Mining, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment, Life Sciences, Projects, Tax, Telecommunications, Media and Technology, and Bankruptcy and Restructuring.
This year, for the first time, the legal directory included the area of Bankruptcy and Restructuring. Carey was ranked band 1 and highlighted as one of the top firms in this field.
This is the first time that Chambers Latin America released the guide early rather than waiting to publish in conjunction with the presentation of awards for top firms in the region. In contrast with other years, the awards ceremony will not be held on September 19th, but rather on November 30th at the Lowes hotel in Miami Beach.
