Dinsmore’s Sherman Appointed to United Medical Center Board

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has appointed Dinsmore’s William A. Sherman, II to serve on the board of directors for the United Medical Center (UMC).
UMC is a statutorily created not-for-profit hospital corporation. It operates as an independent instrumentality of the District government. The hospital provides medical services to residents of D.C. and surrounding Maryland communities.
Sherman serves as office managing partner of the firm’s D.C. office. As a litigator, he brings extensive trial experience to his practice, having been involved with the firm’s defense of mass tort class action suits with an emphasis on product liability defense since joining the firm. He has also successfully litigated cases in a variety of areas including ERISA, securities, federal administrative proceedings, and patent infringement.
