Makarim & Taira S. Wins in Hukumonline Pro Bono Awards 2018

The 20th of December 2018 marked the Hukumonline Awards 2018: Indonesia Pro Bono Champions – a ceremony to recognize law firms and legal practitioners that have been actively involved in pro bono legal aid activities to the community. Makarim & Taira S. was recognized as one of the law firms with the most number of hours of pro bono work. Receiving the award on behalf of the Firm was our Managing Partner Lia Alizia.
The awards were handed by none other than the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly, accompanied by other officials such as the Secretary General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bambang Rantam Sariwanto, Head of the National Legal Development Agency (BPHN) R. Benny Riyanto, and member of the People’s Representative Council Commission III member Arsul Sani. Law firm representatives and leaders of advocate organizations in Indonesia attended the event.
