Dinsmore’s Harrell Joins Capitol Market Board of Directors

Dinsmore and Shohl’s Raymond L. Harrell Jr. has been appointed to a three-year term on the Capitol Market board of directors.

Capitol Market is a premier retail and dining destination in Charleston featuring an eclectic mix of indoor and outdoor businesses offering a variety of West Virginia-made products. Capitol Market gives back to the Charleston community by helping raise money for dozens of charitable and civic organizations each year.

“The economic and cultural impact that Capitol Market has on our community cannot be overstated. Capitol Market provides a crucial vehicle for dozens of businesses, entrepreneurs, and farmers across West Virginia to share their products with the masses,” Harrell said. “It also functions as a social hub and top-rated tourism destination in Charleston. I am incredibly excited to work with my fellow board members and our executive director to expand upon the growth and progress that Capitol Market has experienced for over 20 years.”

Harrell is a labor and employment and government relations attorney whose practice focuses on employment litigation and registered lobbying work. He regularly represents companies in the areas of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, deliberate intent, unemployment appeals, unfair labor practice, and general litigation. Harrell has defended companies and municipalities in cases involving industrial accidents, premises liability, civil rights and First Amendment claims, consumer credit and protection, real estate litigation, motor vehicle accidents, and other general litigation and disputes.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Florida, where he received book awards for obtaining the highest grades in his legal writing and moot court courses.
