Profile

Sarah Beeston heads the Van Doorne European & Competition Law team. Sarah's areas of expertise include all aspects of competition law. She divides her time between advisory work, helping clients to achieve their commercial goals within the limits defined by the rules on competition, and procedural work, representing clients’ interests before competition authorities and in court.

Sarah is innovative and seeks solutions. She obtained the first commitment decision and first settlement decision (excluding the construction industry settlement ) taken by the Dutch competition authority. She is an active member of Van Doorne’s Healthcare & Life Sciences team.

Originally from England, Sarah is a member of both the Dutch and English bar associations. Sarah has also worked for extensive periods in Brussels and Paris. Her international experience gives her advice an added dimension which is highly valued by clients.

Professional Activities and Experience
She started her working life at the European Commission in Brussels before entering private practice in 1991. She joined Landwell in April 1998 to lead the European and Competition Law Section in the Netherlands. Since the merger with Van Doorne in January 2004, Sarah has led the practice group European and Competition Law. Her work involves a wide range of EC and national competition law issues.
