Paralegal

Salim Ben Abdessalem is a paralegal in the Business Law group and his practice focuses primarily in corporate and securities law. He studied private business law in France and Tunisia. 

He worked in Tunis as a lawyer with local and international business law firms for four years.

Part of his work consists of making various filings with securities regulators (SEDAR, SEDI, TMX LINX, NRD, AMF, etc.), such as continuous disclosure documents, financing documents, reports of exempt distribution, etc.

On the corporate side, he assists corporate lawyers in the preparation of legal documentation relating to the various day-to-day transactions of provincial and federal corporations (incorporation, organization, amendments to articles, mergers, etc.), and handles updates to accounting records and registers.

He also helps the firm?s clients meet their transparency obligations and follows up on their current and annual updating declarations to the Quebec Enterprise Registrar and Corporations Canada.

Education

• 2019: Admission to the bar in Tunisia
• 2018: Success in the competitive national entrance exam for the Institut Supérieur de la Profession d?Avocat (Tunisia)
• 2016-2017: Master 2 diploma in business law, specializing in medical, pharmaceutical and dental companies (equivalent to a master?s degree) from the University of Nancy (France)
• 2015-2016 Master 1 diploma in private law (equivalent to a specialized graduate diploma) from the University of Bordeaux (France)
• 2011-2014: Bachelor?s degree in private law from the University of Carthage (Tunisia)
