Shaan is a construction lawyer in the London construction and engineering team at Shoosmiths.
Shaan has experience advising on the drafting and negotiation of a variety of construction documents including JCT and bespoke form building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees. He has experience in acting for developers, funders, contractors, consultants and end-users across a wide range of sectors, primarily including residential, leisure, office, retail and education.
His experience includes acting for:
- a developer of residential apartments across multiple sites in London (both for market and affordable housing) together with commercial and leisure space;
- a funder of mixed office and leisure developments across the UK;
- a local authority in respect of their construction contracts;
- a developer on a mixed-use development scheme in central Birmingham;
- a developer on the regeneration of a key area of London, one of the largest mixed-use development schemes in Europe; and
- a developer of primary and secondary schools across the UK.
