Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co Law Firm is Ranked First in Israel by All Three Leading International Ranking Guides

April, 2020 - Israel

FBC was recognized as Israel Law Firm of the Year by IFLR and received the highest rankings from Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. "It is very significant that the rankings are mainly based on client recommendations," says Adv. Reuven Behar.

The Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co law firm (FBC) recently received outstanding recognition from the three most prestigious international law firm ranking guides: Legal 500, IFLR (International Financial Law Review), and Chambers and Partners, which all placed FBC at the top of their rankings of Israeli law firms.

The recently released Legal 500 guide ranks FBC at the top of the list of Israeli firms for 2020. Legal 500 is one of the most important ranking guides in the legal world; its ratings are based on significance of matters handled and the quality of work of the ranked firms across the spectrum of commercial law.

Legal 500 ranked FBC in 24 legal practice areas – the most of any Israeli law firm -- and awarded FBC the highest number (18) among all Israeli law firms of top ranked Tier 1 practice areas. The FBC practice areas receiving the Tier 1 ranking include: Real Estate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Litigation, Class Actions, Competition and Antitrust, Banking and Finance, Restructuring and Insolvency, Capital Markets, Tax, Energy and Infrastructure, Hi-tech and Startups, Telecom and Media, Employment, Intellectual Property, Investment and Venture Capital Funds, and Transport. Legal 500 also recognized 44 FBC lawyers as leading professionals in their fields.

Additionally, IFLR – a top global law firm ranking guide – recently named FBC as the 2020 Israel Law Firm of the Year. This is the second time that FBC has received the Israel Law Firm of the Year award.

The IFLR guide is one of the most important international ranking guides in the legal and business world; it is published annually and ranks leading commercial law firms globally. IFLR researchers collect data from in-depth interviews with clients and leading lawyers who advised on major representations during the previous year. IFLR awarded FBC a high ranking in all eight of its surveyed practice areas.

FBC also received exceptional recognition from Chambers and Partners, the eminent international ranking guide which recently published practice area rankings for Israeli law firms for 2020. Chambers and Partners awarded FBC Israel Law Firm of the Year for the Banking and Finance practice area, and recognized FBC with the highest Band 1 ranking in eight practice areas – more than any other law firm in Israel.

"It is very significant that these rankings are mainly based on the recommendations and interviews with the firm's clients," FBC Senior Partner Adv. Reuven Behar said. "We view this as an outstanding achievement, and we thank our clients for their trust in us. Our firm's guiding values are professionalism, service, and camaraderie and these are reflected in the recognition received from the leading global ranking guides for all of our legal practice areas," Behar added.

"Our strengths," Managing Partner Adv. Amir Chen said, "are our excellent professionals, and our wide range of practice areas which serve our Israeli and multinational clients. The fact that the three global ranking guides that evaluate Israeli law firms recognize FBC as the top firm speaks for itself. We will continue to provide professional service of the highest quality to our clients," Chen added.
