Bradley Adds Senior Economic Development Advisor Alex Patrick to Birmingham Office

Bradley is pleased to announce that Alex Patrick has joined the Birmingham office as a senior advisor in the firm’s Economic Development & Renewable Energy Practice Group.

Mr. Patrick has significant experience with domestic and international corporate recruitment, existing industry retention and expansion support, and strategic business development, previously serving as the senior director and division lead for the economic development group at the Birmingham Business Alliance (BBA), the lead economic development organization for the Greater Birmingham Region. Mr. Patrick regularly works alongside and advises client companies, economic developers, government officials, site selection consultants, commercial real estate developers, and construction and engineering firms on a wide variety of projects across multiple industry sectors.
In 2023, Mr. Patrick was recognized as a “Top 50 Economic Developer in North America” by Consultant Connect for his service with the BBA’s economic development team, collectively responsible for securing over 13,000 announced new jobs and $4.5 billion in announced new capital investments from more than 200 international and domestic companies over a six-year period.
Mr. Patrick has been an active member of the Economic Development Association of Alabama since 2017 and is also a member of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, the Phoenix Club of Birmingham, the Alabama Chapter of NAIOP, the Greater Birmingham Auburn Club, and serves on the steering committee of Made in BHM, a young professionals group of Birmingham-based economic developers.
Bradley’s Economic Development & Renewable Energy Practice Group handles projects throughout the U.S., representing companies with a creative, proactive approach that is fundamentally multidisciplinary. The team works with clients by lending experience to projects from any stage of development, including site selection and identifying and implementing economic development incentives, as well as many aspects of the new project or expansion, including real estate, tax, governmental, planning and zoning, environmental, permitting, financing, labor and employment, construction and energy contracts. The Bradley team has handled some of the largest deals in the country and also helps companies with expansions and new projects that are significant to the client.
