Profile
Joe Kelly is a Partner in the Firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. From a background in commercial litigation, Joe advises clients on all methods of dispute resolution including arbitration, expert determination, mediation, and pursuing a case in the Commercial Court, where appropriate. He also has wide experience representing clients in Tribunals of Inquiry and in relation to white collar crime/corporate offences. Joe also heads up the Firm's Leisure and Licensing Unit.
He is currently representing one of the key witnesses in the Tribunal of Inquiry into Certain Planning Matters and Payments. Joe is advising a number of clients on regulatory issues which could trigger criminal sanctions and is also advising the Irish Nightclub Industry Association on proposed changes to the licensing laws. He is also advising clients involved in having their disputes resolved by mediation and by expert determination, as well as acting as an Arbitrator himself.
Joe has been nominated as a recommended lawyer/individual both by Global Counsel 3000 and by PLC Which Lawyer.
He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Irish Branch, and is a practising Arbitrator. He is a founder member of the Irish Commercial Mediation Association and is currently a Council Member of that organisation.
