Robert is a commercial litigator advising and protecting the interests of national and international clients with particular focus on technology, manufacturing and corporate related disputes, including warranty claims and shareholders disputes.
Robert advises on a wide variety of commercial and contractual matters, including disputes involving: professional negligence, corporate investigations, breach of warranty, personal injury, product liability, property damage, insolvency, retention of title, indemnities, shareholders’ disputes and numerous other types of dispute, often involving foreign jurisdictions.
Recent work handled by Robert includes : -
advising an international supplier of IT software and services in respect of contentious issues arising out of a multi-million pound project in the energy sector;
- acting for a premium consumer technology manufacturer in carrying out a strategic review and risk analysis of a proposed business restructure of its UK distribution channels;
- advising a European pharmaceutical distributor in the defence of a claim brought by an international supplier of pharmaceutical products;
- acting for an international metal manufacturer in connection with the defence of a series of claims for breach of warranty and indemnity in excess of £1m.
Robert deals with a range of creditor support issues in corporate and individual insolvency cases. Robert is also experienced in acting for both insurers and self insured companies in relation to insurance disputes concerning employers’ public and product liability issues.
Robert is experienced in bankruptcy and winding up procedures, Individual and Company Voluntary Arrangements.
Robert regularly presents at seminars for in-house lawyers, credit and insurance professionals and has written and led a training programme for in-house teams.
