Rebecca has been with Shoosmiths since September 2015 when she joined to grow the Court of Protection team in Birmingham, it has since expanded to our Milton Keynes and Thames Valley offices and now has a national presence. 

Rebecca specialises in Court of Protection work with a focus on property and financial affairs, she has a particular interest in brain injury and her practice has a significant focus on supporting brain injury survivors and their families. Rebecca's expertise includes deputyship applications for both professional and lay deputies, all aspects of ongoing management, Statutory Will and gift applications as well as preparation and management of Personal Injury Trusts.

Rebecca's clients include individuals with acquired brain injuries, mental illness, learning difficulties, and degenerative diseases such as dementia. Rebecca enjoys working with children and young adults, she works closely with families through the early stages of development to involve multi-disciplinary support networks to maximise potential at an early stage.

A significant proportion of Rebecca's clients have suffered from catastrophic brain injuries at birth. Rebecca works closely with the Shoosmiths clinical negligence and serious injury teams, supporting her clients through the litigation process and guiding them into some form of normality once this has concluded.

In her spare time Rebecca enjoys Italian food, travelling and long distance running.
