Since joining MinterEllison in January 2006, Andrew has undertaken a variety of work, specialising in superannuation. In particular, Andrew's scope of work includes acting for trustees in relation to successor fund transfers, negotiating administration, custody and investment management agreements on behalf of superannuation trustees and service providers, assisting superannuation trustees in addressing compliance issues and reviewing periodic reporting and Product Disclosure Statements for compliance with FSR requirements.

Andrew services a range of clients including both corporate and industry fund trustees, as well as various administrators and other service providers. Andrew has acted for clients such as Allianz, AMP, Asset Super, AXA, Challenger, First State Super, IAG, Oasis, State Super Financial Services and Suncorp.

Prior to joining MinterEllison, Andrew worked for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia for seven years in a variety of roles including as a Manager in the Compliance and Regulatory Services team, specialising in superannuation compliance, as Company Secretary for approximately 50 subsidiaries within that corporate group, as the Manager of the Independent Office of the Trustee and as a Senior Superannuation Administrator.

Andrew's previous roles have given him an in-depth insight in the practical aspects of: APRA Licensing; corporate governance; formal ASIC procedure; organising, preparing papers and presenting at meetings of Trustee boards and of other subsidiary boards; the issues relating to large financial institutions' compliance reporting; preparing procedures such as complaints handling and outsourcing procedures; FSR; reviewing, handling and advising on death and disablement claims and defending disputed claims in the SCT; and superannuation administration.
