Marcos Ludwig advises Brazilian and foreign clients in corporate, contractual, regulatory and corporate governance matters in various sectors and industries, with primary focus on infrastructure.

Marcos is experienced in delivering actionable legal advice in connection with commercial contracts, acquisitions, joint ventures, concessions and PPPs, public tenders in general, regulatory matters, project development, corporate governance, ethics and compliance, and other strategic matters. Among other relevant mandates, he acted in one of the largest transactions concluded recently in Brazil, recognized as The American Lawyer's 'M&A Deal of the Year: Latin America 2017' and as Latin Lawyer's 'PE Deal of the Year: 2018'. Clients praise his 'valuable experience' and 'excellent capacity in forming and leading competent teams on any legal issue'.

Marcos is a listed arbitrator in the panel of leading institutions in Brazil and abroad, with experience of serving as co-arbitrator in tribunals in disputes involving contractual, corporate or regulatory matters.

Between 2006 and 2007, he worked as visiting lawyer in the New York office of an international law firm.

He was a professor and guest lecturer in law schools and graduate programs in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Porto Alegre with focus on civil law, legal theory and legal hermeneutics, with publications in Brazil and abroad.

Currently, Marcos acts as Co-chair of the Commercial Law and Practice Committee of the Brazilian branch of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Brazil) and as Officer of the Art, Cultural Institutions and Heritage Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA).
