Rob seeks to build strong, authentic relationships with his clients by providing practical, commercial advice. He is a business-minded, solutions-oriented counselor.

On a daily basis, Rob works with clients at every stage of the fund life cycle, advising on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds. He has represented clients in the sale and purchase of equity positions in multi-tiered investment management entities and in connection with changes to their management and ownership structures.

Rob is also a trusted advisor on regulatory and compliance issues. He advises hedge fund managers on a variety of matters, including insider trading determinations and in connection with the increased use of alternative data. He is well-positioned to deal with campaign and election law matters, and compliance with Rule 206(4)-5 of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 (the “pay-to-play” rule).

Committed to serving the community, Rob has extensive experience representing pro bono clients, and previously served on the staff at the Lowenstein Center for the Public Interest. He was part of a legal team that submitted an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in the matter of Arizona v. The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc., a case involving voter registration requirements.
