As an associate on the firm’s energy and infrastructure team, Chris has assisted clients on a variety of projects, including renewable energy and M&A transactions in the Asia Pacific region.

Chris is a US-trained associate based in the Washington, DC office. His practice has been focused on cross-border transactions in Southeast Asia, which have included projects in Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Myanmar. Before joining the firm as an associate in 2016, Chris was a summer associate in the Bangkok office in 2015.

Relevant Experience

  • Represented the purchaser of a 49% ownership interest in a combined cycle gas-fired power plant with a total gross installed capacity of 1,823 MW located in South Korea for approximately $800 million.
  • Represented the potential purchaser on all aspects of the preparation and submission of its proposal to acquire a 25% interest in an offshore windfarm project under construction in Taiwan with a planned total installed capacity of up to 128 MW.
  • Represented the minority shareholder of a 630 MW power plant and battery energy storage project located in the Philippines on the divestment of its entire interest in the project for $850 million in a joint sale with the majority shareholder. The total enterprise value of the transaction was $2.4 billion.
  • Represented private equity firms on the US$ 235 million mixed equity/debt investment in an approximately US$ 600 million mixed-use skyscraper and retail building project in Bangkok, Thailand.
  • Represented a Thai public company on its participation in a US$ 300 million fund acquiring and investing in oil and gas assets in North America.
  • Represented a lending group consisting of the Asian Development Bank and a major French lender on the approximately US$ 10 million project financing of a 10MW AC photovoltaic solar plant in Cambodia.
