David is a senior associate in Shoosmiths' real estate team, based in the Solent office. He has experience in a broad range of commercial property transactions, but mainly focuses on property development, working with developers and landowners on residential property schemes.

He also has particular expertise in the education sector, advising school and college groups on their estate management, sales and purchases and assisting with larger capital projects.

His recent experience includes:

• acting for various developers and landowners on the negotiation of option agreements in connection with residential development;
• advising a further education college group on a 10-year lease of a new campus; and
• acting for national housebuilders on the purchase of land for residential development.

David is fluent in Portuguese and speaks conversational Spanish.
