Elizabeth has 9 years of experience in the legal field. She specializes in the practice areas of Dispute Resolution, Environment, Health & Safety, and Public Law, Public Procurement & Regulation.In the practice of Dispute Resolution, she has experience in the public and private sectors, specifically in inter-institutional negotiating tables at the governmental level in support of negotiations with local populations for the implementation of sustainable projects.In the field of Environment, Health & Safety, Elizabeth has advised national and international companies in the implementation of good practices, environmental legal compliance, due diligence processes, environmental audits, and defense in criminal cases for environmental crimes.In matters of Public Law, Public Procurement & Regulation, she has provided support in the procedures related to Human Rights, claims of unconstitutionality, and regulatory issues in general.In 2010, Elizabeth graduated in Legal and Social Sciences from the Universidad d San Carlos de Guatemala. Her subsequent studies include a master’s degree in Development Policy from the Korean Institute of Development in Seoul, South Korea in 2013, a Diploma in Human Rights and Sustainable Development from the Institute of Public Administration in2014, and two degrees in 2015, a Specialization in Social Conflict and a master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.Elizabeth became an Associate at BLP in 2017. Previously, she worked as an Associate at the Pacheco Coto law firm (2016-2017) as well as at Corea, Moran & Asociados (2010-2014).Elizabeth is based in Guatemala City.
