Diverse technical background for biotechnology patents

Elizabeth White helps prepare and prosecute patent applications, with a focus on biotechnology. As a biophysicist, she has broad technical knowledge ranging from molecular biology to machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Before joining Quarles, she was a biophysical sciences graduate researcher at the University of Chicago, where she studied the dynamics of biological systems using molecular biology, microscopy, image analysis and a variety of computational methods. In her research, she optimized experimental methods and designed and customized software packages and analysis pipelines. She shared her research via oral presentations and journal articles and wrote and edited grant proposals.

Elizabeth’s diverse scientific background and passion for research allows her to quickly learn about client technologies. Her experience in technical writing and communication is leveraged in drafting and prosecution.
