Profile
Ethan Tidmore is a litigator with a primary focus in the areas of complex commercial litigation. His practice involves the representation of businesses and individuals on both the plaintiff and defense sides in a broad range of trial and appellate litigation in state and federal courts, including bankruptcy courts. He has led the firm’s Complex Litigation team, is AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale-Hubbell®, and is recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Commercial Litigation.
Ethan is a leader in the American Bar Association, where he serves as co-chair of the Section of Litigation’s Pretrial Practice and Discovery Committee. He previously served a three-year term in the ABA’s House of Delegates, the policymaking body of the ABA. He also served as the Assembly Speaker of ABA’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD), which is the second highest office in this 150,000-member organization.
Ethan served a two-year term as the chairperson of the Alabama State Bar Association’s Task Force on the Future of the Legal Profession.
Ethan graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2003. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree (summa cum laude) in 1999 from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Ethan is the recipient of the Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award, the highest honor given to a University of Alabama student.
