FERNANDO PALOMARES is a Senior Consultant responsible for Compensation & Benefits consulting within the Human Capital Practice of Mercer HR Consulting in Spain. He also heads the Flexible Remuneration service in Spain.
He worked for 8 years in the Madrid office of Watson Wyatt, where he headed the Compensation & Benefits practice in 1995-96. This last year, he joined Mercer as Senior Human Resource consultant, remaining in the firm until May 1999, when he left Mercer to join the Spanish Telecommunications company ONO (1,700 employees). In ONO he held the positions of Compensation & Benefits Manager and then Head of Human Resources and Organisation. In October 2002 he came back to Mercer, joining the Human Capital Practice.
He earned a Science Degree in Universidad Complutense de Madrid, is a current member of World at Work (formerly American Compensation Association) and is a frequent speaker at Human Resources forums.
Fernando is 43 years old, married with two children and lives in Madrid, Spain.
