Profile

Gabriella Cole is a tax controversy and litigation attorney. She has worked in tax law since 2018, and her practice has a specific focus on tax controversy law, representing corporations and individuals against the IRS and state departments throughout the audit, administrative appeals, and litigation processes. Her experience in tax controversy has focused on a variety of issues, including conservation easements, the research and development tax credit, the employee retention credit, the 179D tax deduction, and private letter rulings.

Gabriella has handled a range of cases from partnerships with hundreds of millions of dollars at issue to mom-and-pop shops fighting for the $50,000 to which they are entitled. In addition to being passionate about the defense of her clients, she is also passionate about encouraging a more diverse group of practitioners to join the tax law field and providing a support system for them throughout their careers. As part of that effort, Gabriella is one of four founding members of the Atlanta Women in Tax Association.
