Profile

Mr. Yip has extensive experience in the resolution of cross-border commercial disputes using the
court systems in Hong Kong and elsewhere, as well as international arbitration conducted under
various institutional rules. Mr. Yip specializes in asset recovery, shareholders disputes, corporate
restructuring and compliance, internal investigations and disputes involving intellectual property
matters. In addition, Mr. Yip has represented a wide spectrum of stakeholders in corporate fallouts
– directors and officers, significant shareholders and investors - both in the context of asset protection
and recovery, and in the context of handling compliance and regulatory issues in response to enquiries
raised by Hong Kong and overseas authorities and regulators in connection with the corporate fallouts.
Mr. Yip also advises financial institutions and significant corporations with respect to internal
investigation and compliance issues, with particular focus on FCPA-related matters.
Mr. Yip is consistently recognized as a leading lawyer in dispute resolution by major legal directories
such as Chambers and Legal 500.
Prior to joining Han Kun association firm Miao & Co, Mr. Yip practiced law at leading international
law firms and was chair of the Asia dispute practice of an US based Amlaw 50 law firm.
