Profile
Koen Morbée is a partner and a member of the Board of Directors at Tiberghien.

His practice covers all Belgian taxes relevant for corporate, financing and real estate transactions. He focuses amongst others on international tax matters for large Belgian or foreign based multinational corporations with operations in Belgium. Mergers, acquisitions, demergers and other group reconstructions have been major elements of Koen’s corporate work.

Koen has been a regular contributor to a wide variety of tax publications and is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars. In 2004 he was appointed as National Reporter for Belgium at the 2004 Vienna IFA Congress on Double non-taxation. For many years Koen is a member of the editorial staff of the Belgian Journal of Tax Law (Tijdschrift voor Fiscaal Recht). He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

Koen Morbée has already pleaded successfully before the European Court of Justice. He is praised in the Legal 500 Directory for ‘making you look better in front of board members’ in ‘working alongside the tax department’ and for ‘a hands-on mentality’.
