Before embarking on her legal career, Laurence studied business administration with a specialization in human resources management. During her law studies, she worked in a firm with a litigation practice and at the town clerk's office of a municipality. She also did internships, gaining experience in the technology, health and environment sectors. She is involved with an NPO and has helped set up training sessions in schools to raise awareness about the importance of consent. She has also mentored students in a moot court competition.
