Rebecca is a solicitor in the employment team. She advises clients on contentious and non-contentious employment law and HR issues, including employment status, discrimination and termination of employment. She advises clients in both the public and private sectors and is valued for her responsive and commercial approach, as well as her ability to offer pragmatic solutions. Rebecca supports corporate colleagues in managing business transfers and restructuring programmes, and advises on the employment aspects of projects such as due diligence, indemnity and warranty protections, redundancy and collective consultation. She has specialist knowledge in property and estates, including the application of TUPE and advising on tied accommodation – Rebecca works alongside property colleagues to advise hotel groups, estate owners, property developers and managing agents. Rebecca regularly assists clients with day-to-day HR queries, including drafting contracts of employment and policies and procedures. Rebecca also has experience in supporting clients in disciplinary and grievance investigations and has attended witness interviews and hearings. On the contentious side, she has experience in defending clients against discrimination, unfair dismissal, harassment and victimisation claims in the employment tribunal.
