Rich Sharff represents a variety of healthcare providers in transactional, compliance and litigation matters.
Rich first joined Bradley in early 1994 as an associate in the Healthcare Practice Group. For over 13 years at the firm, he represented clients in the healthcare industry in a range of transactional, compliance and litigation matters. In 2007, Rich joined Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA), a nationwide owner and operator of outpatient surgery centers, as its executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. In 2017, after SCA’s acquisition by Optum, he was also named general counsel of OptumHealth, one of the three primary business segments within Optum that represents approximately $30 billion in revenue and includes SCA, physician groups and IPAs, a behavioral health plan, and numerous other diverse businesses providing services such as population health, medical benefits management, and post-acute care management.
