Riley McDaniel is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Riley represents clients in both state and federal courts in a broad range of commercial, healthcare, product liability and employment litigation matters. His commercial litigation experience includes disputes involving breach-of-contract claims, fraud claims, fiduciary duty claims involving corporate directors and officers, misappropriation of trade secrets, and enforcement of non-compete agreements.

Riley also advises financial institutions that service cannabis companies in Canada and states that have legalized cannabis under state law on how to navigate the complex state and federal laws regulating the provision of financial services to cannabis companies. In this role, he has counseled clients on how to effectively and efficiently comply with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Money Laundering Control Act (MLCA). 

Riley received his J.D. (with honors) from Emory University School of Law, where he was a managing editor of the Emory Law Journal. He was also an extern for the Hon. Richard W. Story of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Riley graduated from Auburn University with a B.A. in Political Science (magna cum laude).
