Wayne is a highly experienced patent prosecutor with a strong background in pharma/biotech matters. He utilizes this experience in the prosecution, litigation, due diligence, opinion work, licensing, and portfolio development and management of clients’ intellectual property assets. Wayne has extensive experience in U.S. and European patent office and court proceedings, pharma/biotech collaboration agreements, and public and private investments. He has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of U.S. chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device patent applications and directed their prosecution throughout the world, using a wide network of foreign associates.

From small start-up companies just developing their patent portfolios to the very large patent portfolios of established businesses, Wayne’s clients have turned to him for counsel on patent budgets and the numerous ways in which patents may be used to maximum value. Additionally, he has negotiated and drafted multimillion-dollar patent and know-how licenses between biotechnology companies and some of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Wayne has assisted both investors and issuers in private stock placements, initial public offerings, and follow-on private and public offerings with due diligence of patent portfolios as a part of portfolio and company acquisitions.
