Zinzi Lawrence is an associate in ENSafrica’s natural resources and environment department. She specialises in mining and environmental regulatory issues including upstream, midstream and downstream mining law and general environmental law.  She has acted for international and local clients as well as government entities and state owned companies in the mining and mineral processing industry.

Zinzi’s experience includes mining and environmental due diligences, drafting service level agreements and various statutory applications such as applications in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998; the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002; and Precious Metals Act, 2005. Zinzi also advises clients on mining law aspects of M&A transactions, surface and land use arrangements, mining law disputes, the registration and amendment of trusts, including environmental rehabilitation trusts.
