Hanson Bridgett Recognized as a Top Corporate Philanthropist

July, 2022 - San Francisco, California

July 28, 2022 (San Francisco, CA) Hanson Bridgett LLP, an AmLaw 200 firm serving all of California, is pleased to announce it has been ranked by The San Francisco Business Times as one of the Bay Area's Top Corporate Philanthropists for the 11th year in a row. This list includes for-profit companies and nonprofit health care organizations that made contributions to Bay Area-based charitable organizations in the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma counties. Information was obtained from company representatives.

In 2021, the firm continued its charitable and pro bono support to organizations providing relief to communities hit the hardest by the pandemic and those committed to advancing racial equity and economic inclusion. Though Hanson Bridgett was already focused on giving to organizations that support minorities and minority-owned businesses, the firm increased its philanthropy toward these efforts. Additionally, the firm matches 100 percent of personal contributions from employees to qualified organizations up to $1,000 per individual.

“We are honored to be recognized again by The San Francisco Business Times for our philanthropic efforts over the past year, and inspired to continue working even harder with our charitable partners to bring more opportunity, equity, and justice to all of our Bay Area neighbors,” said Samir Abdelnour, Director of Pro Bono and Social Impact.

The San Francisco Business Times bases the percentage on the company's income before taxes in fiscal year 2021.

The firm was first named to the Corporate Philanthropist list in 2011.
