Paul Volodarsky Speaks on Thailand’s Post-Covid Hospitality Rebound
The DFDL team is pleased to report that Paul Volodarsky (Senior Legal Adviser; Deputy Head of Real Estate and Construction Practice) was a featured speaker in a webinar on the post-pandemic recovery of the hospitality sector organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (“AmCham”).
The panel discussion, “Financing the Return of Thailand’s Hospitality Sector,” was held on 25 July 2022 and presented by AmCham Thailand’s Joint Legal, Tourism and Hospitality Committees. Paul and three fellow panelists discussed financing options for businesses in the hospitality sector, including real estate backed token, real estate investment trusts, private equity funds and direct funding.
The expert panel also examined alternative means of financing and debated whether traditional commercial banks would return as the preferred source of financing for hospitality projects in Thailand. The webinar presented a range of useful financing options from a legal perspective, including practical advice and real life examples. The event concluded with a Q&A session from the online audience.
Paul was joined on the panel by Peerasanti Somritutai (Partner and Head of Real Estate Practice, Kudun & Partners), Tapanan Rattananate (Director & Head of Product & Institutional Coverage, ALLY Global) and Jacob Samuel (Managing Director, Ares SSG Group). The webinar was moderated by Charles Blocker (Chief Executive Officer, IC Partners).
