Spilman Attorneys Named to 2023 PA Super Lawyers List

Pittsburgh — Spilman Thomas & Battle (Spilman) announced that Members Sally E. Edison and Julian E. Neiser were named to the 2023 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers list.
The objective of the Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive, and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys from more than 70 practice areas. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. Edison’s primary areas of practice are commercial bankruptcy, insolvency, and creditor’s rights. She serves as national bankruptcy counsel to a multinational group of manufacturing and service companies. She represents trade creditors, secured creditors, debtors, small businesses, major corporations, and court-appointed committees in bankruptcy cases nationally. Also, Edison represents former officers and directors in bankruptcy proceedings in insurance coverage and indemnification matters. She also serves on Spilman’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
Neiser has been involved in hundreds of commercial litigation cases and has represented a diverse range of clients. In addition to his extensive construction and general commercial litigation practice, he defends clients in OSHA, employment, and insurance coverage cases. He regularly is a first-responder to matters involving OSHA investigations and related workplace issues. Neiser also is a member of the American Arbitration Association Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators. He serves as Vice Chair of Spilman’s Litigation Department and as Co-Chair of the Construction Practice Group.
