ǼLEX Closes US$650 Million Facility Transaction

ǼLEX recently closed a transaction described as “the landmark transaction in the telecommunications sector for 2011.” ǼLEX advised (in conjunction with Norton Rose UK) Emerging Markets Telecommunications Services Limited (“Etisalat Nigeria”) on a US$650 million 7-year facility provided by a syndicate of Nigerian lenders. The facility comprised of an NGN82, 500, 000, 000 facility and a US$100 million facility.
