Carey advised Canada Pension Plan Investment Board in the acquisition of 49.99% stake of Grupo Costanera

Carey acted as counsel to Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) in the acquisition of 49.99% stake of Grupo Costanera, Chilean unit of Italian motorway Operator Atlantia. Grupo Costanera owns five toll roads in Chile: Vespucio Sur, Radial Nororiente, Costanera Norte, Litoral Central and AMB (access to the airport).
Carey advised CPPIB through a team led by partners Claudio Lizana and Francisco Ugarte, and associates Mariana Gómez and Juan Turner.
