LAWIN Advises Amphenol on Acquisition of Ionix Aerospace Ltd and its Subsidiaries

LAWIN acted as Estonian legal counsel for NYSE-listed Amphenol on acquisition of Ionix Aerospace Ltd and its subsidiaries, including Ionix Systems OÜ that is registered in Estonia.

Amphenol, founded in 1932 and headquartered in Connecticut, USA, is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. Amphenol designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems. Amphenol’s 2012 annual revenues exceeded $4 billion.

Ionix Aerospace Ltd is a U.K.-based high technology cable assembly company focused primarily on the commercial aerospace market with annual sales of approximately $35 million. This acquisition, completed in October 2013, is consistent with Amphenol’s strategy of market and geographic diversification and expands Amphenol’s presence in a very important and growing technology area.
