Brigard & Urrutia Acts as Legal Counsel to Millicom Spain Cable in Acquisition Valuing USD$4.4 Billion

Brigard & Urrutia Abogados acted as one of the legal counsels to Millicom in the context of the acquisition by UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones S.A. of the 24.99% of the shares that Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá S.A. E.S.P. has in the telecommunications company Colombia Móvil S.A. of an approximate value of US$240 million.
This deal is done under the context of the merger to be completed during 2014 between Millicom Spain Cable (Spanish affiliate of Millicom International) and UNE EPM Telecomunicaciones S.A. for an approximate deal value of US$4.4 billion.
