Carey advised Endesa in a USD400 million bond

Carey acted as local counsel to Endesa in the issuance and placement of a Yankee bond of USD400 million at a rate of 4.250% due in 2024.
Carey advised Endesa through a team led by partner Claudio Lizana and associates Patricia Silberman and Camila Noreña. Claudia Lizana stated, “Timing to close the deal was extremely tight, especially considering that it was a registered offering (unlike most of the international bond deals made by Chilean companies that are made under 144A/Reg S). Thanks to a close coordination of all the parties (which have worked in the past together for the Enersis capital increase) the deal was successfully closed on time. “
